Assam Assembly Election Results: Early Trends Show BJP Leading In 12 Seats

Early trends show the Bharatiya Janata Party leading in 12 seats of the 126-member Assam assembly, while the Congress 'mahajot' got eight leads as counting of votes got underway for the state elections. The Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) are also leading in two seats.
