Is America Heading For Trump 2.0?

Initial trends showed US President Donald Trump holding the lead in the Electoral College votes. Mr Trump, 74, is seeking re-election for the second consecutive term in a highly polarised election. "People are complex. I think they're not voting on a single issue. On that framework, both economically and culturally, Trump still broadly appeals broadly to large swaths of population that seem to be voting for him," said Preeti Dawra Managing Director, Asian Century Communication and Spokesperson, Howdy, Modi! Voters are deciding between Mr Trump and his Democratic challenger Biden, along with all 435 seats of the House of Representatives and 35 of the 100 seats in the Senate. "For a vast part of the American electorate, what we're looking at is how this matters to them in terms of economics, domestic policies that matter to them day-to-day. They think less about foresing policy and a wider trend authoritarianism," said Ravi Aggarwal, managing editor of Foreign Policy.
