Centre's Claim On Manual Scavenging Deaths Rings Hollow For Victims' Families

The Ministry of Social Justice said in parliament that no deaths occurred due to manual scavenging in the last five years. But the families of those who died call this a big “joke” and raised questions over government's claims. They added they have not received any compensation from the Centre as well.
