Novavax Announces 90% Efficacy, Other Top Stories

Novavax has announced that its Covid vaccine is more than 90 per cent effective, including against coronavirus variants. The announcement was made after a large-scale US study. The study involved nearly 30,000 people in the US and Mexico. The company released results Monday, showing the vaccine was 90 per cent effective overall. Novavax has a tie up with Serum Institute of India; In another big story, the BJP has started the "Seva Hi Sangathan" program to tackle criticism over the handling of the pandemic. Party chief JP Nadda has instructed party workers to help with vaccination campaigns, relief programmes and training healthcare volunteers.
