Yaas Intensifies Into "Very Severe Cyclonic Storm", Other Top Stories

Cyclone Yaas has intensified into a very severe cyclonic storm and is headed to the Odisha-Bengal coast. Both the states are evacuating lakhs of people from coastal areas. Over 11.5 lakh people have been evacuated from vulnerable places in West Bengal. In other news, Subodh Kumar Jaiswal, an IPS officer and the chief of Central Industrial Security Forces, has been appointed as the chief of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a two-year period.
