Put Politics Aside, Deal With Covid Crisis, Doctors Appeal

India reported 81,466 new COVID-19 cases, the highest single-day spike in cases since early October. It is also the deadliest day of the pandemic in India this year with 469 deaths in the last 24 hours. The situation in Maharashtra is particularly alarming, with hospital beds and ICUs filling up. Doctors have appealed to the government to put aside politics and deal with the Covid crisis head on.
