Health Minister Reviews Covid Situation In 11 States, Other Top Stories

As the number of Covid cases surge in India, NDTV spoke with the CEO of Serum Institute of India to discuss how India can expand the vaccination drive. "We're very stressed for capacity, prioritising the needs of India but we're still short of being able to supply to every Indian. We will scale up our capacity from June, hope government will support us financially," said Adar Poonawalla. Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan on Tuesday reviewed the Covid situation with 11 states. "Since February 2021, these states have witnessed a steep increase in cases, majority of which have been reported in the younger population of 15 to 44 years," he said.
