India Records Over 1 Million Daily Vaccinations, Other Top Stories

India hit an important milestone on Thursday, vaccinating over a million people in a single day against COVID-19, but there was a fresh rise in daily cases as the number crossed 17,000. In a meeting that went on till late Thursday night, the BJP strategised on how to tackle Mamata Banerjee in the forthcoming polls in West Bengal. Sources say Prime Minister Narendra Modi told Bengal BJP leaders not to get provoked by the Trinamool Congress. In other news, Income Tax department sources said that irregularities worth crores of rupees have been found in ongoing raids on filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, actor Taapsee Pannu and others.
