1.73 Lakh Punjab Students Given Free Mobile Handsets

The Punjab government rolled out the much-awaited smartphone scheme on Wednesday, distributing free mobile handsets to some Class 12 students of state-run schools. The scheme was implemented more than three years after the Congress came to power in the state.
