"Namaste Trump": US President, First Lady Melania Arrive In India

United States President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump landed at Ahmedabad in the presidential jet Air Force One this afternoon. Their children Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner came out of the aircraft first. A few minutes later the President and the First Lady came out, waving at the waiting crowd below. Prime Minister Narendra Modi received the Trumps, before they got into the US President's armoured black car known as the "Beast". The two-day state visit, the eighth by an American president, comes ahead of his potential re-election - the US votes in November - and just months after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "Howdy, Modi!" event in Texas last year. Mr Trump's visit also comes amid tense trade talks between the two countries.
